Grad Slam
Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Hosted by the College of Graduate Studies at the Hammer Theater, Grad Slam is a fast-paced competition where graduate students pitch their research, scholarship, and creative activity in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. Students communicate their work in three minutes with just one slide. This event will be livestreamed.

A celebration to honor faculty and staff who have published a book, exhibited a significant work of art or submitted a patent application in 2023. Enjoy beverages and appetizers while hearing from a distinguished speaker lineup in honoring the diversity of scholarship of our impressive faculty and staff. This event will be livestreamed.

The Environmental Resource Center (ERC) at San José State University is thrilled to announce our annual Earth Day celebration! This event continues the tradition of 菠菜网lol正规平台 alumnus Gaylord Nelson ('39), the co-founder of the original Earth Day in 1970, which ignited a passion for sustainability for 20 million people on college campuses across the nation.
For Earth Day 2024, we're turning up the heat on plastic pollution with the theme “Planet vs. Plastics!” Join us as we unite the 菠菜网lol正规平台 community and beyond to raise awareness about the critical issue of plastic waste and explore innovative solutions for a cleaner planet.
Free food, information on internships, and highlights of 菠菜网lol正规平台 faculty and Bay Area organizations environmental research activities will be available to participants. All 菠菜网lol正规平台 students, faculty, and staff are welcome.

Celebration of Research

Celebrate the amazing research, scholarship, and creative activity that takes place at 菠菜网lol正规平台! The Early Career Investigator Award winners and the Industry-Sponsored Research Award winner will be honored, and students will present over 80 posters characterizing inspiring and groundbreaking work.

19th Annual College of Science Student Research Day

Working directly with College of Science (COS) faculty, many undergraduate and graduate students are engaged in original research projects on a wide range of scientific topics. Since 2005, the student researchers have presented the results of their original work in the form of posters during the COS Student Research Day. Approximately 100 posters will be displayed and the student authors will be present to explain their results.
